A Protestant Congregation : The American Presbyterians

Abstract |
The American Presbyterian Church was founded by a group of American-born Montrealers who did not find the Church of Scotland atmosphere of the other two Presbyterian churches in the city to their liking. This group joined the Presbyterian Church in the United States in 1824 and remained connected to it until 1925 when it joined the United Church of Canada.
