|
Abstract |
The author outlines the story of St. Mary's Anglican Chapel, built in 1867, in the community of Beaulieu (today known as Sainte-Pétronille), at the western tip of Île-d'Orléans. The neo-gothic-style chapel was designed by architect Edward Staveley and built by Timothy Hibbard Dunn (1816-1898), a Quebec City timber merchant and capitalist.
