Étude de l’interaction verbale chez des montréalais d’origine italienne
Abstract
The authors analyze the verbal interaction in two Montreal families of Italian origin (circa 1970s), and the factors that favour their choice of one language over another in a multilingual group, and the factors that condition language switching during a conversation in the same multilingual group. One family is integrated in Montreal's Anglophone community, the other is integrated into the city's Francophone community.
