Plus que parfaites: Un siècle de services domestiques à Montréal
|
Abstract |
According to the author, English-speaking employers in Montreal in the first third of the twentieth century were looking for female servants from England, Scotland or Ireland. After the Second World War, the preference for servants was extended to include women from Europe. By the 1970s, servants from Vietnam or the Philippines were more in demand.
