Perceived Racial Discrimination and Response: An Analysis of Perceptions of Chinese and Indochinese Community Leaders
|
Abstract |
The author reports on a study of perceptions of racial discrimination and response based on interviews with thirty Asian community leaders in Montreal in 1986. While the general perception of little or no discrimination was reported in a wide variety of areas, analysis indicated a concern among the Asian leaders with discrimination in job hiring and advancement, and in treatment of their children in school.
