|
Abstract |
The author recounts the cordial relations between Quebec City's French- and English-speaking communities, crowned in 2007 by the Fontaine de Tourny, located in the Parliament Gardens of the National Assembly, that was donated by Peter Simons, whose Scottish ancestor, like Peter Simons himself, established his first haberdashery store on rue Saint-Jean in 1840.
