| Abstract |
A history of Quebec language issues and crises, from a Francophone perspective. The author emphasises the role of immigrants in choosing English as a second language in creating the need for language legislation in the province. With a general acceptance of the Quebec population accepting the implementation of the Charter of the French Language (Bill 101), the author argues that the language crisis in Quebec is over.
