Quebec: Class and Ethnicity
Abstract
The author compares Francophone and Anglophone Montreal workers' attitudes towards unions in the 1920s. While Francophone workers supported the less militant Catholic unions, Anglophone workers, especially Jewish and British- and American-born, were more active in militant unions during this period.
