Title
L'Histoire de Morin-Heights et des villages voisins
Abstract
The story of a unique village municipality in the Laurentians, Morin Heights was settled in the nineteenth century, first by English speakers from England, Scotland and Ireland, and then by Francophones. The author contends that Morin Heights had all the ingredients for conflict - language, religion and culture - but rather than clash, these new neighbors fought dense forests and rocky farmlands and laid the foundation for a vibrant bilingual community of harmony.
