| Abstract |
The author offers twelve studies based on his new paradigm of Jewish history within Quebec studies. Abandoning the traditional analyses of anti-Semitism in Quebec and the tumultuous history between Jews and Francophones, the author advances a journey where the study of Quebec Jews is an autonomous subject with value in itself. He contends that this journey distinguishes places of expression and fields of action in Quebec where the Jews contributed in an exceptional way to the advancement of Quebec society and the complexity of a Quebec identity.
