Discusses the cultural erosion of the Scottish-Canadian population in the face of French-Canadian domination in Scotstown, Compton County, from 1829 to 1976. The author also examines elements that could have preserved Gaelic ethnicity, including Presbyterianism, kinship, and poetry.
