Abstract
The author examines an 1897 bilingual booklet titled Quebec Jubilee Souvenir Number, celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria’s reign, and determines that the minor but significant differences in the English- and French-language texts were meant to speak to both anglophone and francophone citizens of Quebec City.
