Title
Intervista a David Fennario
Abstract
An interview with Montreal playwright David Fennario. The author explains that Fennario has isolated himself from the city’s Anglophone artistic community and changed his attitude toward Canada because he perceives that the Anglophone middle class has shifted to the political right. Fennario comments on his "Joe Beef: A History of Pointe Saint Charles" (1991), a play which details his socialist perception of the unification of Francophone and Anglophone working classes against "the bosses", and "Doctor Thomas Neill Cream: Mystery at McGill" (1993), the author's history of Montreal's Anglophone elite.
