La Charte : La loi 101 et les Québécois d’expression anglaise / The Charter : Bill 101 and English-Speaking Quebec
Abstract
Twenty essays looking at the impacts of Charter of the French Language (Bill 101) on Quebec's English-speaking community and how the community has responded to the Charter, over the forty years since it was enacted into law in 1977. The essays look at such impacts as the demographic shifts and outmigration within the English-speaking community, judicial challenges to the law, the economic and workplace impacts of the Charter, and the impacts on English Quebec's educational system.
