Abstract |
Provides genealogical and historical information on William Hendry (or Henry), a Scottish immigrant to Megantic County, and the presumed author of a surviving 1834 letter to his mother in Penrioch, Arran Isle, Scotland. The letter, reprinted in English and Arran Gaelic, provides an historical record on the now nearly extinct Arran Gaelic dialect.
