Abstract |
The author outlines the establishment of the Irish Studies program at Montreal's Concordia University, starting in 1991 and originally funded by the St. Patrick's Society. In 2009, the university created the School of Irish Studies. Since 2012, Concordia has been offering a stand-alone Bachelor of Arts degree in Irish Studies, focusing on Ireland and its diaspora.
