Abstract |
An examination of the Irish migration to the Port of Quebec, and Irish settlement in Quebec City in the first half of the nineteenth century. The author concludes that the Irish immigrant population in Quebec City during this period was mainly composed of working-class Catholics, both before and after the 1845-49 famine in Ireland.
