Despite its title, the majority of this article deals with how English Canadians outside Quebec feel towards the Quebec sovereigntist movement. The author's conclusion deals specifically with English Quebec. His argument is that English Canadians are sceptical of the sovereigntist project because of differing perceptions regarding macro-economic concerns and regarding Francophone emphasis on language vis-à-vis cultural preservation.
