Title
L'édifice Masonic Memorial Temple : histoire et architecture maçonniques
Abstract
The author points out that the Masonic Memorial Temple Building, located at the corner of Sherbrooke Street West and St. Marc Street in Montreal, built in 1928 and 1929, still fulfills its original three major functions: it serves most Masonic lodges in Montreal where they hold regular meetings; it honors the memory of the Freemasons of Quebec who died during the great wars of the twentieth century; and it is the headquarters of the Grand Lodge of Quebec and other related organizations. The author examines the significance of the building in relation to the Masonic history in Montreal and the province.
