Diary relating to pioneer life in the Sherbrooke region in the 1830s. Lucy and Robert Peel immigrated to Quebec's Eastern Townships from England in 1833. Lucy Peel's diary covers the period to December 1836, when the couple returned to England after the death of their daughter and three years of unprofitable farming.
