Title
Les chevaux et les chiens à Sherbrooke en 1921
Abstract
A comparison between Anglophone and Francophone horse owners and dog owners in the south section of Sherbrooke, based on the city's 1921 evaluation role. The author found that forty-one property owners in this neighbourhood owned horses, and thirty-one owned dogs. Although more Francophones owned horses, proportionally to the overall population of the neighbourhood, Anglophones had a higher percentage of horse ownership. Only slightly more than half of the dog owners were Francophone, making the Anglophone percentage of dog owners much higher.
