Abstract
A comparison of housing types and values, tenure and occupations of francophone, anglophone and Southern and Eastern European immigrants in the cities of Montreal, Lachine, Outremont, Verdun and Westmount during the period 1921-1951. The author found that French Canadians were as much owner-occupants as other ethnic groups in these cities, and that Anglophones and Eastern European immigrants were attracted to the new apartment buildings.
