|
Abstract |
Joseph-Papin Archambault (1880-1966) was a Jesuit priest who in 1913, following the Congrès de la langue française in Montreal the year earlier, which sparked his concern over the lack of French in the city's business community, helped found the Ligue des droits du française. In 1917, Archambault was instrumental in the founding of the Ligue d'Action française, which published the militant nationalist periodical, l'Action française.
