Abstract |
A history of the financing, construction and opening of Montreal's Theatre Royal in 1825. The building was financed by shareholders, the most prominent of whom was brewer John Molson. It was a 1,000 seat Georgian-style playhouse located on the site of present-day Bonsecours market.
