Abstract |
Founded in 1899, the Mount Royal Club's history is closely tied to the social, economic and cultural development of Montreal at the turn of the twentieth century. The original club building was destroyed by fire in 1904, and the American architectural firm of McKim, Mead and White designed the new clubhouse, which was built in 1904-1906.
