Abstract |
The London, England-born van Ginkel (née Lemco) graduated from McGill University in 1945. With her husband (H.P. Daniel van Ginkel) she produced an influential study of Old Montreal, and the initial planning for EXPO 67. The author focuses on van Ginkel's career between 1940 and 1977, including her education in Montreal in the 1940s and her work in Montreal between 1957 and 1977.
