The author investigates the impact of the State of Israel on the Hebrew curriculum of Montreal's Jewish People's and Peretz Schools and on United Talmud Torahs. He concludes that the existence of the State of Israel has had an impact on the Hebrew curriculum of these two schools, especially after the October 6 to 25, 1973, Yom Kippur War.
