A history of the riding of Quebec East from Confederation to the 1940s. In the nineteenth century, the riding contained a significant proportion of Irish Quebec residents. Among its provincial representatives in the Legislative Assembly was Joseph Sheyn, who represented the riding in the Legislative Assembly from 1875 to 1900.
