| Abstract |
Afro-Can, an English-language Montreal Black-community newspaper was published in affiliation with the Negro Community Centre between 1981 and 1994. Its founding editor was Dr. Leo W. Bertley (1934-2006). Its targeted audience went beyond the historic Black Montreal enclave of Little Burgundy, to the expanding community in other areas of the city. The author describes the editorial content of the paper.
