Abstract |
In 1992, the Task Force on English Education recommended to Quebec's Minister of Education that children from English-speaking countries who parents immigrated to Quebec be allowed to attend English language schools. The recommendation was rejected by the Quebec Government. The author, who is in agreement with the government, describes what he feels would be the demographic impact on French Quebec of allowing these childtren to attend English language schools.
