| Abstract |
A history and evolution of the Black Theatre Workshop, a Montreal-based Anglophone theatre company. The Black Theatre Workshop, incorporated in 1972, is Canada's longest standing professional Black theatre company. It began as the Trinidad and Tobago Drama Group, founded by the author and others, but split off to focus on the development of new works by Black Canadian authors.
