| Abstract |
A description of Protestant education in Quebec up to the 1980s, the role of the confessional schools and school boards, and the values (cultural, ethnic and religious) they transmitted. In 1988, denominational(Catholic and Protestant) school boards in Quebec were eliminated and replaced by linguistic (English and French) boards through a constitutional amendment.
