Still Waters: The Poetry of P.K. Page
|
Abstract |
Poet, novelist and painter Patricia Kathleen Page (1916-2010) moved to Montreal in the early 1940s and was one of the founders of the little magazine Preview (1942-1945). Her poetry was first published in the anthology Unit of Five (1944). The other members of Five were Louis Dudek, Ronald Hambleton, Raymond Souster and James Wreford. This short film encapsulates the life of P.K. Page and shows how her powerful works have extended beyond their inherent confines into the realms of anthropology and ecology.
