Abstract |
The author describes her involvement with St. Columba House, a United Church of Canada outreach ministry in the Montreal neighbourhood of Point St. Charles. The author undertook a collective writing project with four other women from St. Columba House that produced the 1996 book Hope is the Struggle: A Community in Action, about the forces that shape such a community and about the power structures from within and without that effect the struggles for social change.
