Le Québec, l’Irlande et la diaspora irlandaise : les débats politiques et identitaires
|
Abstract |
In this short essay, the author discusses the historiographical links between the Irish in Quebec, the Irish nationalist movement in pre-1920s Ireland, and the French Quebec nationalist movement during this same period. He only makes passing remarks on the deliberate movement of Quebec's Irish Catholics from the late 1890s onward to self-identify as English-speaking Catholics.
