Title |
'Eat the World': Postcolonial Encounters in Quebec City's Ethnic Restaurants
|
Abstract |
The authors examine intercultural contact in present-day Quebec City restaurants. They argue that ethnic restaurants represent microspaces of intercultural encounter and exchange, places where Quebecers can see, touch and consume the cuisine of the "other", and where the foreign is made familiar without leaving the city.
