Abstract
The history and a virtual tour of the Reford Gardens, and the people who shaped it over a one hundred year period. Reford Gardens is located in Métis-sur-Mer, in Bas-St-Laurent. Elsie Reford (1872-1967) created these gardens at Estevan, the property she had been given by her uncle, the Montreal railroad tycoon George Stephen (1829-1921). In 1995, the gardens were declared a national historic site.
