Fuir la ville : villégiature et villégiateurs dans la région de Montréal, 1890-1940
|
Abstract |
The author notes that the predominance of water and the abundance of riverbanks in the Montreal region have attracted generations of urban residents in search of living and leisure spaces located close to nature. The author sheds light on the evolution of the rapport between Montreal vacationers (villégiateurs) and their natural environment between 1890 and 1940. Her primary sources of information are Montreal newspapers, especially the Montreal Daily Star.
