A sketch of a Free Church Presbyterian congregation whose origins in Montreal date to 1845. Originally located on Coté Street, the congregation moved to the newly-built "Crescent Street Presbyterian Church" in 1878. Includes information on many of its prominent first parishioners, including James Ross, Joseph and Edward Mackay, and Peter Redpath.
