Abstract
An outline of the merger over 250 years of four English-language newspapers in Quebec City that evolved into the present-day Quebec Chronicle-Telegraph. The QCT is recognized as North America's oldest continuously operating newspaper, dating back to the bilingual The Quebec Gazette - La Gazette de Québec, which began publication on June 21, 1764.
