Abstract
The author discusses the losses suffered by the Highland regiments during the great Siege of Montreal in 1760. He discusses the events that unfolded as French and British forces prepared to clash near Montreal, the highland regiments in North America during the Seven Years War, and the role of Gen. James Murray (1721-1794) and Gen. Jeffrey Amherst (1717-1797) as part of British forces during the siege of Montreal.
