Abstract |
In 1860, the first meetings of Presbyterians in the Côte-Saint-Antoine village (the future Westmount) took place in private residences. On November 17, 1885, Melville Presbyterian Church was formed. On November 2, 1900, a split in the community led to the formation of St. Andrew's Church, while Melville continued its activities. In 1925, a second split within the community occurred, with some joining the United Church of Canada and merging with Westmount Park United Church.
