Title
One Hundred Years of Engineering at McGill
Abstract
In 1871, McGill University began offering a two-year curriculum within its Department of Applied Sciences leading to a Diploma in Civil Engineering. When the Faculty of Engineering was created in 1931, the school was already a national and international leader in everything from Civil to Radio Engineering. By the 1970s, a relatively large proportion of all engineers in Canada were graduates of McGill's Faculty of Engineering.
