Bibliothèques et archives dans les communautés de langue officielle en situation minoritaire: Enjeux et devenir
Abstract
According to the publisher, this book focuses on several key dimensions. First, it examines how documentary heritage supports collective memory and highlights the efforts made by libraries and archives to promote it and make it accessible. It then looks at the policies needed to remove language barriers and increase access to cultural resources. Finally, it looks at the state and development of collections, paying particular attention to OLMC representation. Structured in two main sections, this book offers a rich reflection on libraries and their role in supporting minority language communities, while adopting a national and international perspective. It also explores the essential contribution of community archives to the vitality of OLMCs across the country, highlighting their importance in the preservation and vitality of collective identities.
