Title
Sprachen vor Gericht : Zu Sprachgebrauch und Ethnischer Diskriminierung in der Strafjustiz der Provinz Quebec, 1867-1931
Abstract
The focus of this article is on how language problems were solved technically in capital cases in Quebec between 1867 and 1931. The author concludes that both linguistic groups in the province were treated equally under this process, until the case was sent to appeal to the Governor General in Ottawa for commutation of the death penalty, where only English counted.
