Abstract |
Gerald Ephraim Hart (1849-1936) was the director general of the Citizens Insurance Company (1879-1890) and the Phoenix Fire Insurance Company (1890-1894). He also served as the secretary of Montreal's Numismatic and Antiquarian Society. Born in Trois-Rivières, the grandson of Aaron Hart, Gerald Hart lived in Montreal from 1869 to 1896 and from 1934 to 1936. He was an avid collector of early Canadian currencies.
