Abstract |
In February 2018, the House of Commons Standing Committee on Official Languages, chaired by Denis Paradis, undertook a study on adult literacy, numeracy and essential skills. The goal of the study was to understand the impact of changes made to Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) programs pertaining to the development of literacy and essential skills of adults in official language minority communities (OLMCs). The study came up with seven recommendations.
