Abstract
The earliest known music printed in Lower Canada was "Le Graduel romain", published in 1800. On August 1, 1818 Frederick Hund advertised in the Quebec Mercury his engraved publication of "The Berlin Waltz", the second known published work, and his imminent publication of a set of new German waltzes.
