Title
The Interplay of Action and Set in the Plays of David Fennario
Abstract
A study of four plays Fennario (b. 1947) wrote during the time of his association with Montreal's Centaur Theatre. The author points out Fennario's contradiction in the use of Naturalism and Marxism. The author concludes with a brief examination of the first play Fennario wrote, after abandoning both the Centaur and Naturalism, for the Black Rock Theatre in his home neighbourhood of Pointe Saint-Charles/Verdun.
